Crafts don’t just show us how a product is made. It also embodies a social act that relates to the sense of a place, how a community is built and what its values and rituals are.
According to Disarming Designs production manager Ghadeer Dajani, art, design and crafts should all be part of the resistance against the occupation, as an element within a mosaic power against foreign rule: “it has to reflect the beauty and the strength of Palestine, just like poetry and literature are doing.”
